"Opening Night" Original Painting
“Opening Night” Oil on Canvas
This original painting is based off of a photo I took at the opening night of Bar Kamon in downtown San Diego. This painting is from the perspective of both the bartenders, and the guests sitting at the bar. It’s special to me for a lot of reasons. One being that as someone in the restaurant industry, I often feel like I am on both sides of the experience. The person behind the bar and the person sitting at the bar. It’s a sort of metaphor for my experience in the restaurant industry. It’s also special because I consider everyone in this painting to be a friend. This painting captures the sense of friendship and comfort you feel going to a local spot and seeing people you know and love.
Size: 30 x 40 inches.
Winsor and Newton Oils
Fully Varnished
Due to the size of this painting, for safety during the shipping process, the canvas will be taken off the stretcher bars and carefully rolled and packaged. Once it arrives, it can be taken to a framing shop where it will be stretched back onto stretcher bars, as well as getting a decorative frame put on.
